My Fale _ T2W5

WALT :  Reflect on our goals in Samoan / Maori ..
Today in class, we were focusing on Samoan language.. Our tasks for today, was to make our own Fale, using google drawing. ME: I would say, that to me, this tasks was tricky. This was because, as you use google drawing for your art designs, you have to size them out, colour them and many more... Although, I did love this task. What is a Fale? A Fale is a house, made by Samoans. Made by hand and designed by woods. These would are good stabled woods.
Here is "My Fale"....

Sandwich reflection!

WALT: Identify key food groups in simple meals.
Kia Ora, Malo, Talofa and many more greetings to you all! And a "Big Welcome" to my blog... In class, room 10 had been put in 6 groups of 4... This was because, we were to make sandwiches! Although, my favourite part of this session was contributing with my group mates and also seeing the ideas we all came up with... Also, we did get to see each others talents at making sandwiches... In addition, in a very important "CLICK", we held hands and did a karakia.. Karakia is the Maori word for "Prey" or "Grace".... We started eating our sandwiches.... My sandwich wasn't finished and I had to wrap it up... Furthermore, I hope we can do this again this term, because in class cooking, we all worked together as a team and had been contributing ideas. This can also help us to get out of our shells and show our talents in cooking and designs...
Here is an idea of my sandwich and what kind of healths I ate!

Thankyou!

All about me!

On Friday! Room 10 had been given this food diary homework! This diary is a sheet, where you layer your food into... By this - During the holidays, you are to write what you have eaten onto the food diary - Why?? Because it is to see if you are eating healthy or not! Although, here are some follow up questions that may relate to "My food diary" !

Do you feel you are eating a wide variety of foods?
NO! - I have answered "No" because this week, I have been eating high in sweets/sugars! E.g .. Chocolate, Raro, cupcake and many more on.......

Do you think you are "Spending" your calories wisely?
YES! - I have answered "Yes" today, because after eating a lot of calories, I have been exercising after a while! I have been taking laps and have also been practicing netball! Although, the limit of calories around teenage girls are around about 1600 - 1800 calories a day!

What will your eating goals be for this week?

Te Whare Tapa Wha Models!

What we did?
Today, I will be explaining, What room 10 has done/created today…. - If you haven’t had vibes/goals with your classroom! Here is my story! The image we shared together was a plan with both ideas combined together… This was a great project! Although, yet there are still those who have been confused in some of today’s work! This was a first time experience in building a Whare Tapa Wha using vegetables!.... - Thank you! To Miss Kyla, who planned to do this for room 10!...

Problems:
Eventually, the problems my buddy and I had was to stable the whare down! This was because, the sticks we used was too long and wasn’t strong enough to hold everything… Although, we sneaked around, looking at some other designs/models, but…. Bringing our own ideas together to make a Whare! This is Whanaungatanga - Building relationships with one another - She was also my best friend!

Solution:
Our plan… Our solution to this damage was to bring all the toothpicks together, surrounded in 4 corners… These toothpicks were glued to the carrots! This was a good grip! Though, our solution worked, this design had given the thoughts of how better we can make this model… We tried our best to make it the best we could.. This challenge wasn’t about how better it looked, it was about the interest we had... Working as a team...

Teamwork:
Overall, my best friend and I had worked great together and I would really like this to happen again…Also, as we were putting our whare (House) together, I had a little accident… This is where my best friend swifted against the room to get me a bandage…. I had stabbed myself using the kebab stick… I wasn’t crying or anything, because my friend was there for me.. She was even their, contributing ideas into our art. - Telling me I can do it… This is where we both worked hard together - staying focused - It felt like we were in MKR!

Following the plan or not:
Unfortunately, my best friend and I did not follow our plan…. This is because some vegetables were too weak and the kebab sticks were too long.. This is the act where my buddy went sneaking arounding to find small ideas… We borrowed some of our class ideas and our own connections…. This was a great opportunity for us to connect well! Because usually, we go with one idea! Next time, I would like to create something easier for my peer and I to work out!

Outcome:
Here is our end product! The emotions we had was something spectacular! We both jumped in the air - so excited that we were in wonderland! We had happy tears! Our hands did hurt! But our feelings did not change towards our project! My favourite emotion, was when my best friend and I hugged to tell that we both did a great job!

Trying different Honey!

WALT: Compare and contrast different types of honey!
Kia Ora, Malo, Talofa and many more greetings to you all! Welcome to my blog! Today, I will be writing a reflection about "Comparing and contrast on different types of Honey"!.
Our choices were:
Manuka
Pohutakawa
Clover
Mixed:
Todays lesson, room 10 got to experience the taste of different types of honey... First of all, we got into groups of 3/4. Although, I found todays lesson really exciting and hunguest! Why? I have compared my emotions to exciting and hunguest because I honestly went to every table to see if there were left overs! Therefore, as a result, my favourite honey was the mixed and Manuka! This is because I am so obsessed with Honey! I can eat a whole container! This is what I sometimes do at home! In addition, due to this, my experience on the taste of honey has made me very hyped! Although, I have chosen the Mixed honey because it is very sweet and I have chosen Manuka honey! because it is very rich in taste and it could also help with pain cramps! Overall, my favourite honey was number 1&4!
Thankyou for listening!

ANZAC - Emblem - Vocab

Kia Ora, Malo, Talofa and many more greetings to you all. Welcome to my blog. Since, ANZAC has been past and TPS just serviced yesterday. The whole school has thought to work towards ANZAC history. In addition, Kia Manawanui has been working on ANZAC emblems and definitions to what each word means. Todays session, I found very challenging because I dont really know much about ANZAC and Poppies and it was a great experience learning about them. In the future, I want to focus more about ANZAC because, it was an AMAZING! history to the world. WHY? Because these were men who served in WAR! risking their lives saving our world between the argument of both countries! Although, I believe that, if governments are the ones who start the argument, than they need to learn how to step up and fight for themselves, instead of involving other men and women into situations like this.
Although, WE WILL REMEMBER THEM! LEST WE FORGET!
Thankyou! To those men who served in WAR! sacrificing their lives for us humans!

Ode of remembrance

WALT: Use screencastify to voice out our Te Reo Ode of remembrance poem:
Kia ora, Talofa, Malo and many more greetings to you all. Today, I have been working towards the Ode of remembrance poem; But as in Te Reo. Something, I found tricky was editing this video; Why? Because some people may forget where the stop button is and this is where it became tricky for me. I tried to trim the end out. Although, through this session, I found screencastify easy although, as it was my third time trying it.
Here is my screencastify - Ode of remembrance - Te Reo.
Hope you enjoy. Oh! And yes, my voice may sound a little bit cringey!

Attitude Program - Puberty

Kia ora, Malo, Talofa, Bula and many more greeting to you from me and my blog. I and my blog are going to welcome you back in a reflective description. To begin with,
in attitude program, we were learning about was puberty. Through this session with our talker, I noticed that lots of things are changing for me. I have realized this, because I know what it feels like through puberty.

Some people might think to themselves, “I will never go through puberty”, but that’s fine because I know how it feels. This is because, I would always say this, to my older siblings.(Laugh) But two of the most important messages i’ve found as a good advice is that every-body will go through puberty, but in their own time. And also, one of the most important message is CHANGE!

Thanks for viewing!

What I learn't about Poppies!

Kia ora!  Nau mai, hoki mai ki tāku rangitaki (blog)!

Ko Kane Wepiha-reo toku ingoa. He uri ahau no Ngati Whatua me NgaPuhi. Ko ruma tekau toku akomanga. He tauira o te tau whitu ahau. Nau mai, hoki mai ki taku rangitaki(blog)!
No Naia Nei, Ruma tekau kua ka aua atu te ra akoranga about papi. Although, during this lesson with Miss Kyla, I have learned to use a campass. As you know, some people may wonder or ask themselves “What is a compass?”, Well!  There is an answer to that question!  A compasses is an instrument used for navigation and orientation that shows direction relative to the geographic “Cardinal directions or “Points”. But, usally a diagram called a compass rose that shows the direction of North, East, South, West.

What do you know about poppies? Ok, let me be honest, but as I here the question (What do you know about poppies? ) all that appears in my head first is the answer “25th of April”, this is the day ANZAC is celebrated on. People that are reading this are probably thinking to themselves, “Is this all she knows”, well I don’t just know this! I have learn’t more about it and i’m sure you can learn from me too. Here are some fantastic facts I have learned:
Did you know that poppies are Yellow and Orange in colour aswell? Some poppies are coloured as Red, Yellow, Orange and also other colours. Poppies are considered a symbol of both sleep and death.  During WW1, the poppies disappeared because of the trampling and bombing of the battlefields. One of the most popular poppie fields are named Flanders Field.
And many more facts….

If you would like to learn more about poppies, click one of these three links:

E kore rātou e kaumātuatia
Pēnei i a tātou kua mahue nei
E kore hoki rātou e ngoikore
Ahakoa pehea i  ngā āhuatanga o te wā
I te hekenga atu o te rā
Tae noa ki te aranga mai i te ata
Ka maumahara tonu tātou ki a rātou
Ka maumahara tonu tātou ki a rātou

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
We will remember them.

Kia Ora! Thankyou! My shares brings blessing to you all!
