Technology Graphics Week 2

IALT: Reflect on what I´ve done for technology
Kia Ora and welcome back to my blog!

Today for technology, we have been working on comparing and contrasting 2 different phone stands. We were also learning how to draw 2D and 3D shapes. Keep reading to find out more!

This photo shows the 2 different phones stands I have chosen for my comparing and contrasting.
The similarities of these two stands, are that they are both phone stands and can also hold devices.

What´s unique about each stand is that, one is made of wood and the other is made of metal material. They are also different shapes and colours, and also have nice texture.
______

After comparing and contrasting, we were learning how to draw 2D and 3D shapes. Squares, rectangles, letters, triangles and also circles.
___

Oblique:
Pronounced as a ¨Obleek¨.

2D - 3D = Dimensional
2D - 2 sides.
3D - 3 sides.

Here is a photo of my drawing:

When you draw a 3D circle, it is called a Tangent ; or cylinder.
10% represents - 1 in 10 and 10 in 100.

Today,
Technology was great and it was fun learning more about shapes and contrasting and comparing.
Thankyou for viewing and I hope you enjoyed my blogpost!

My Pepeha -2018

IALA: The lanugage of the Maori Culture.
Kia Ora and welcome to my blog! This week is ´Te Wiki o te reo Maori' which means, Maori language week. My culture! Hip Hip Hooray!

Today, I will be showcasing my pepeha, so you all know more about me, my culture and me.
Here is a what a pepeha looks like:

Tena koutou katoa.

Ko _______ toku mounga. (Mountain)
Ko _______ toku awa. (River)
Ko________ toku iwi. (Tribe) (Village)
Ko _______ toku waka. (Canoe)
Ko________ toku marae. (Meeting house)
No ________ ahau. (Where you are from)
Ko ________ toku kainga inaianei. (Where I currently live)
Ko________ toku kura. (School)
Ko _______ toku whanau.(Family)
Ko _______ toku matua. (Father)
Ko ______ toku whaea. (Mother)
Ko ______ toku ingoa. (My name is)

No reira, tena koutou, tena koutou, tena tatou katoa.

A pepeha is what maori culture use to show everyone who they are and where they come from.
Example : Ko ___ toku iwi. This means, my tribe is - (Finish off the sentence.) Here is how the sentence will be finished.
Ko Ngati Whatua me Nga Puhi toku iwi.

Ngati Whatua - Ngati Whatua is one of my tribes, coming from my fathers side. They are more known as the founders of Auckland city. And are currently living in Orakei. This iwi is well known and also a popular iwi in NZ.

Nga Puhi - Nga Puhi is another iwi of mine, coming from my mothers side of the family. This iwi is also well known and popular in New Zealand.

Besides this, above has an example of what a pepeha would look like.
Where it has the lines, you will finish the following sentence, with your iwi, waka mother of father.

Quick Tip:
If you are from Tonga, or Samoa or around the pacific, your iwi (Tribe) would be the village you come from. Example: Samoa: If you are from savaii, then youĺl write - Ko Savaii toku iwi.

Here is my DLO of my pepeha and I hope you enjoy reading!

If you do not know how to pronounce these words, listen to my screencastify, where it will showcase the pronunciation and me talking! THANKYOU!

Have a try at the pepeha! And I hope you enjoy!
Thank you really much for viewing and have a good day!

Love you all.

Technology - Graphics

IALT: Reflect on what I've done for technology, graphics.
Malo E Lelei and welcome back to my blog! Today for technology, we have created a google drawing about ourselves. We used pictures to show people what we enjoy in our everyday lives and to also show who we are.

Something I like to do in my spare time is to go on social media and or to dance.
I also like to listen to music, from the artist : Tupac or XXXTENTACION as they are who I really look up to.
I would describe myself as a koala, because I like to eat, sleep and watch movies all day. FYI, don't interrupt me please, if I am sleeping, eating or watching movies, because it just puts me off or I will get annoyed.

Besides this, something else we've also done was find pictures of many different phone stands, because later on the term, we will be creating our own phone stands.
The phone stand that I hope I get to make is a mickey mouse stand. Where, mickey mouses's hands are out holding the phone.

Here is a photo of my google drawing : ME .

GOOGLE DRAWING : PHONE STANDS

Something I really enjoyed about this day, was getting to know more about other people and also finding out what I like to do or enjoy.
The challenging thing about this session was, finding all the different types of things I like on google images, as they all needed to be transparent.

Although,
I enjoyed the day at technology and I am looking forward to do more phone stand creating!

THANK YOU FOR READING MY BLOGPOST AND I HOPE YOU ENJOYED!
