The Zones of Regulation!

Did you know that there is more than 4 zones of feelings that humans go through? There is several emotions that the human body has to let action of every day but the four main zones I’m going to be telling you about today is The red zone, the blue zone, the green zone and also the yellow zone. Keep reading and you’ll soon find out what I’m talking about.


RED ZONE!
The first zone of regulation is the red zone. The red zone is based on all the high tempered, over-whelming , out of control emotions. Feelings such as anger, stressed, overwhelmed and many more. An example of times where these emotions are shown is when you’re stuck in a pickle with mates or an enemy and you start randomly taking your anger out on others. Or sometimes you could be angry because you didn’t get enough rest the night before so you start to throw things and act all stressed out in front of others. The effect on this is you might hurt someone around you and maybe even yourself. A way you could act in this situation includes: I throw things around me, break them, use bad language and sometimes hurt others who are around me! And sometimes take it out on other people. There are many different way that these emotions could be controlled. You could simply take time off to clear your mind and to set your mind straight.


BLUE ZONE!
Next, we have the Blue Zone. The Blue Zone stands on the base of sadness, tiredness, boredom, sickness, and being depressed. An example of times where these emotions are shown may be when, you’re sitting in class, all bored up and doing nothing. It can also relate to you, when you’re moving slowly, Not caring about anything and being kick back all day long. The effect of this could make your muscles weak and could also cause your mind to be sleepy. And, obviously, we need our brains and muscles to be motivated for learning. How can you support yourself in this Zone? What I do, to keep and encourage my Blue zone to stay motivated includes; Cleaning. Exercising. Sports. Sleeping. Eating.

YELLOW ZONE!
We have now entered the Yellow Zone. The emotions in the Yellow Zone contains: Nervous, Silly, Excited, Jealous, scared or even surprised. An example of times you may express these feelings are when, you’ve been given a test to complete for the end of the year report. Clearly, we all want a great end of the year report! Although, a way you could probably act in this zone, is: Fiddling with things that are around you. Annoy others who are around you. Distracting others from learning time. This feeling would be nervous and also frustrated! The effect of this could cause you to worry about everything! For an example.: You might say negative words, such as: :Ooh, I won;t get this done!:.. We need to encourage our Yellow Zone, and a way to do that is, to stop worrying and think about good things.




GREEN ZONE!
The last dimension, is the Green Zone. The Green Zone involves, feeling: Happy, Calm, Content or good to go. An example or a way you act when you’re in this Zone is when, you jump around and also interacting with people around you. The effect of this is that, you’ll be able to connect easily with pairs around you.

CONCLUSION!

I have given you the 4 main zones of regulations we feel daily. You might have only two zones in one day! And you just, might have it all! Although, I hope you have enjoyed! Thank you and see you around the school! Kia pai to ra!
