For this text, I know that it fits the “Explanation” genre, it’s trying to tell the audience something… And also, the story that Renara Hopkins wrote did sound real to me.

The journal level of this text is “Level 4, Year 7”.

She has been waiting for so long- Now Carly has come.. : This story is about a young girl named Carly, who went on a school trip learning how to “Milk Cows”.. It was to a working farm, and they’d get to milk and feed cows with a bottle. On the way to the farm, Carly had caught a flu… It started to get really bad! She didn’t want to tell her mum and dad, because she didn’t want them to make her stay home.. The flu had gotten worse! On their first day of Milking Cows, Carly’s voice started to faint “Faint, Faint”... She fainted and couldn’t hear anyone.! Her saliva couldn’t swallow down her neck.. The light would burn her eyes, she just wanted to close them..After a while, when she was left alone in the room, Carly could her some voices, it faded once and then showed.. It was the pale-faced girl. She smiled.. She laid her hair against Carly’s pillow, and made her feel better the next day.. Carly’s parents came, wondering to not wake her up! Soon that morning, the pale-faced girl had followed Carly!...

The thing that enticed me into reading this book was the “TITLE”.. It doesn’t really sound that catchy, but as you look deeply into it, you would want to wonder what the book is actually going to be about..

Many people around the world have been telling scary stories to each other, and so this means that I think the author to this book had written it because she wanted to tell people about what she knows and what she grew up learning.

In this book, the author clearly didn’t talk about the TITLE.. The parts I read in this book was just about Carly milking the cows and a pale-faced girl following her..

2. Where did the other souls go?
3. Why did it have to be based on Carly milking the cows?
4. Why did you choose this text
5. What inspired you to do it?

There are no other text compared to this story that I have read!

Disney's Moana coming in Te Reo Maori...

Did you know that Taika Waititi, who is the maker of Moana has made a call out that Disney's Moana is coming in Te Reo Maori? Disney has announced that Moana will be the first film to be translated into Te Reo Maori. Taika Waititi has considered this to fluent speakers.

If you haven't seen the movie Moana, I am really sorry to spoil it but it is about a young polyniesian girl who travels throught he horizon to save her people and land. Moana is the daughter of the chief. , Having a huge influence of New Zealanders - Which are: Jemaine Clement, Oscar Kightly, Temuera Morrison and Rachel House.

But, much kiwi cast will reprise their roles. Meaning: The role of Moana will be taken from , Hawaiian girl, Auli'i Cravaiho, and given to a young Maori girl- fluent in speaking Te Reo..Although, Waititi is asking for maybe a 13 year old Maori girl, sounding at least like the original Moana(Auli'i Cravaiho).

Applicants must be in fluent Te Reo and a cover version of the movies most memoral song "How far i'll go". The auditions will be consist of a filmed voice-over script in Te Reo,

Here is a message if you would like to audition for the voice-over of Moana. You'll need to be fluent in speaking Te Reo maori!

Auckland dates are set from June 23 to July 12.  But, auditions must be sent in before 5pm Thursday, July.

I wonder who will win the voice-over Moana!

Friday 16th June

My favourite character in this book is Pania and also Kelly. This is because they are caring girls and are also helpful. Pania, because she led Matt to somewhere Puarata would not find him. And Kelly, because she has a caring soul of offering food to Matt. She also helped him clean up. Although, my least favourite character is Puarata because he is selfish and likes to keep everything in gold locks. This sounds like Goldilocks and the three bears. The three bears would be : Matt, Pania,Kelly and the Goldilocks is : Puarata. He is too selfish and likes everything to himself. He doesn’t care about anything else except the tiki bone. The choose Puarata is making is just “STUPID” and the choices Matt is making “Absolute amazing idea”. Because he is trying to keep the tiki bone safe and sound. Besides this, If I was to choose a character to stay with in the book for a weekend, I would choose : Kelly. This is because in the book it sounds like she doesn’t have much friends and I would’ve liked to be her best friend. Although, she is caring and likes sharing anything of hers. She will also take good care of me.

If Kelly invited me to her birthday, I would get her a big gift. For all, the care she has done for me and because she really deserves it. Kelly is a hard worker. I would get her a new car and like about $1,00000 if I could afford it(Laugh). This gift will be helpful of traveling and so her new friends can come in. Meaning: staying over for the night. She can travel anywhere she can and doesn’t need to drive in a rusty old car. She will also have a clean house. Friends and families will start coming over. She could also move to another country or buy her a house or even go shopping. If I was a character in the book, I think Kelly would be absolutely surprised and would be crying tears in happiness.
