IALT: Reflect on what I've learned about in our leadership lesson today.
Kia Ora everyone, and welcome back to my blog!

Today, I will be reflecting on what I've learned about in our leadership lesson. Today's leadership lesson was based on 'Balancing Responsibilities'.
Balancing responsibilities is to prioritise your responsibilities. Organising or sorting something out from most important to less but important things to do.















To balance responsibilities you need to :
* Utilise others
* Prioritise
* Focus on the objective.

An example.
Stand up and take one leg off the ground/floor.
Next, take someone's shoulder and lean on them so that you don't fall.
Now, this is an example of utilising others. Your in a good balance because someone is there helping you to stay standing without falling. Utilising others is like, telling someone to do this or that and also sharing your responsibility so that your not doing something all by yourself.















Now,
you are taking your hand off that person and holding yourself up.
This causes you to prioritise. How? When your by yourself half of your body starts to lean maybe left, and you are prioritising by making yourself balancing as you move your body the opposite side. Prioritising means to organise and to sort or time things out.




Are you still standing?
If you are, you will now start focusing on the objective. Before I say, close your eyes you will leave it closed for 5 seconds, listen to the people around you. 3,2,1 Close your eyes! YES! You did it. You may haven't noticed but you were focusing on the objective, as you were focusing on the voices or noises around you.

This game or example had shown you how to balance responsibilities. By what I said, did you know that you showed balanced responsibilities!

Something I enjoyed during this lesson, was getting to understand what balancing responsibilities mean.
To balance responsibilities, you need to utilise others, prioritise, and also focus on the objective. This is something new that I've learned today.

During this lesson, I've learned a new word 'Prioritise'. As I explained before, prioritise means to organise and put time into things you need to do.
Example : The first important responsibility I always do after school, is take my siblings home safely. Secondly, as I get home I babysit for a little while, and so on and so on.



I wouldn't say that anything was challenging ! But, I did find one part of the lesson struggling. I don't know how to really explain it, but in our lesson book, we had a responsibility and 3 questions :
Who can help me with this responsibility?
When is this responsibility my highest priority?
and What is the aim at the end of this responsibility?

I found this struggling, because at first I didn't understand what the last 2 questions mean't but as the lesson continued, I started to understand what the whole process of how the responsibility questions meant.

Abstract Art - Te Tuhi

IALT: Reflect on what I've learned today about abstract art
Kia Ora everyone and welcome back to my blog!

Today, in class we were learning about how to make something abstract.
If you don't know what abstract means. Abstract is a type of art that uses several shapes, colours and textures to make a creative type of art. In an abstract art, you would probably see other types of pictures in this art to other people. Abstract art is also about seeing what you see, example :


In this abstract art, I see a heart rate monitor. But, it may seem different to what you think this art looks like.

Our learning focus for today was how to make something abstract. To make something abstract you would need to throw in some different types of shapes, colours and textures. Important message, you would also need to draw in the type of picture you see instead of drawing anything random.

Would you like to learn how to make something abstract?
Well, you would need to remember to look for the basic shapes and objects,
the outlines and curves around the design, and the size of the art. Also, try have a meaning in the art, so that your viewers know why you drew this particular design.

Something I enjoyed about this lesson was designing my own iphone and using my comparison skills to help me look deep into both pictures. One picture will have an original phone, and the other will have basic shapes and colours, without any details being used. Here is an example I have created:

The goal here for you is to find the basic shapes and colours you see in both pictures.
A basic shape I see the both pictures above is a circle for the home button. What other basic shapes do you see ?

I would say that the challenging part about this lesson was trying to keep up with the learning as I wasn't here yesterday. But it was great learning about abstract art !

My meaning of abstract art :
When I hear the word abstract art, the first thing that comes to my mind is - 'Thinking beyond art, using different and all sorts of shapes, colours, textures and sizes to create a creative and engaging art. Also having meanings in the art for the readers to find out'.

Web meaning of abstract art :
When I search up the meaning of an abstract art, it means - 'Abstract art is an art that does not attempt to represent an accurate depiction of a visual reality but instead use shapes, colours, forms, and texture to make an effective piece of art.' Yes! This is the meaning I found online. But, if you don't understand, I think that my meaning would help you understand more about abstract art.
